Iowa State fell to Virginia Tech, 71-62, in the ESPN Tournament Invitational.

The Mavericks were led by freshman Milan Momcilovic, who scored a career-high 21 points. Trey King and Tamin Lipsey also scored 18 and 10 points, respectively.

Virginia Tech had four players score in double figures, led by Hunter Cattoor ('18) and Sean Pedulla ('17).

Iowa State will face No. 12 Texas A&M in the quarterfinals on Sunday.
