Stanford Women's Basketball Sweeps Indiana University

The No. 15-ranked Stanford women's basketball team defeated the No. 9-ranked Indiana University women's basketball team by a score of 96-64 on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal played well, leading by as many as 35 points in the game.

Stanford junior forward Cameron Brink had a career-high 30 points and 10 rebounds. Brink also hit four 3-pointers in the game. Junior guard Elena Bosgana contributed 19 points and five assists for the Cardinal.

Indiana was led by senior guard Grace Berger's 20 points and five rebounds. However, Indiana struggled to contain Stanford's offense, which shot 53 percent from the field and 47 percent from three-point range.

The win was a huge loss for Stanford as they dropped the game. The Cardinal has lost its last two games against Indiana, including a 66-69 loss last season.

After the game, Brinker said the Cardinals were motivated by the role of the underdog." She said, "We want teams to continue to focus on us." We've been ranked in the top five since my freshman year, so it's fun to hunt instead of being hunted.

Stanford's win is a great start to the season for the Cardinal as they look to go far in the NCAA tournament.
